African Fish Eagle
Accipitridae: Haliaeetus vocifer
The African Fish Eagle is not a true fish eagle, but one of the eight species of sea eagle in the world, and thus a cousin of the American Bald Eagle, as its looks declare. It is about 70cm, and mainly hunts fish, although it also eats waterbirds and other water animals. This bird was common in both Amboseli and Nakuru.
