Blacksmith, Spur-winged and Long-toed Plovers

Charadriidae: Vanellus spinosus (Spur-winged)

Charadriidae: Vanellus crassirostris (Long-toed)

The Blacksmith Plover (so named because of the 'tink-tink' of its call) was very common in Amboseli, while the Spur-winged Plover was fairly common, and both were seen at Nakuru. The Long-toed Plover was seen at Amboseli.
