Common (Black-eyed) Bulbul

Pycnonotidae: Pycnonotus barbatus

The Common Bulbul is about 18cm in length, and feeds mainly on fruit and insects. These pictures were taken in Maasai Mara. It has a white front with a distinctive yellow patch under the tail. The head and back are dark grey or black.
