Dark Chanting Goshawk

Accipitridae: Melierax metabates

The Dark Chanting Goshawk is a hawk of about 50cm in height. It eats various vertebrates and insects. It also eats the eggs and young of other birds such as weavers if it can get them.

The weavers around didn't seem bothered by this attack. Perhaps they hadn't laid yet. The hawk didn't seem to have any success.
