Grey-headed Gull and White-winged Tern

Laridae: Larus cirrocephalus (Gull)

Sternidae: Chlidonius leucopterus (Tern)

The Grey-headed Gull ( 40cm) is common on inland waters, but rare at the coast, and breeds in Kenya.  The White-winged Tern (24cm)  is a common northern winter migrant on inland waters.

These gulls were seen at Lake Nakuru.
