Threskiornithidae: Bostrychia hagedash (Hadada)

Threskiornithidae: Plegadis falcinellus (Glossy)

The Hadada Ibis is about 75cm in length . It eats mainly earthworms, but also large insects, spiders, lizards and snails.

The distinctive red upper bill and white cheek stripe can just be seen in this picture.

Glossy Ibis

The slender body shape, the long legs, and the long, thin bill mark out this bird, seen at Amboseli, as the Glossy Ibis. It is about 60cm, and its diet is similar to that of the other ibises.
