Common Ostrich
Struthionidae: Struthio Camelus
The world's largest bird. The Ostrich is flightless. It is
over 2 metres tall and weighs up to 130kg. It eats mainly seeds and grass, and sometimes insects.
These pictures show a male, a female and their family out for a walk. We saw ostriches several times in Maasai Mara.
