Sacred Ibis

The Sacred Ibis mainly eats small fish and invertebrates, but will eat small mammals and birds' eggs and scavenge carrion. It is called the Sacred Ibis, because in ancient Egypt it was a symbol of the god Thoth. It is no longer common in Egypt. It was very common in Amboseli and Nakuru. It is about 75cm in length.
