White Stork

Ciconiidae: Ciconia ciconia

The White Stork, which is mainly a visitor from the northern winter, reaches about 1m in height. It generally feeds on insects in grassland, but also on shrimps and suchlike, as at Nakuru where we saw it.

The small bird here is a Black-winged Stilt, not a baby stork.
