Other books on East Africa and its wildlife are available, and may suit some readers better, especially if they are travelling to more than one country in the area.
East African Wildlife: this comprehensive book seems to be available only in the UK at the moment. While it provides a great deal of information, a great deal of space and weight is also taken up by photographs and large print.
As well as individual country guides, LP produces this general guide to Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.
As well as the country guide to Kenya, Insight produce an excellent guide to the wildlife of East Africa. Like the country guide, somewhat too much weight is taken up by beautiful photographs. However, this is also a recommended book.
