Agama Lizards

There are more than 300 species of Agamidae in the world. They have their teeth on the outside of the jaw, so they appear always to be smiling. They are related to the chameleons, and dominant males are frequently very colourful. We saw them in various places. There are several different species in these photographs. They mainly eat insects. Dominant males in a territory are most colourful.
