Animals: Index and Presentation
The animals which were seen are presented in this section one by one. The main purpose of this section is the presentation of images of the animals. Information about the animals is confined to their size and a few basic facts. The order of presentation departs somewhat from the presentation used when discussing the biological relationships of the animals. This presentation begins with the herbivore bovids, since these were generally the most conspicuous animals, then moves to the non-bovid herbivores, and then the carnivores. The two primate species are given their place, and the reptiles and insects bring up the rear. The interactions of the animals and plants is dealt with in the section devoted to the Savannah Ecology.
