Spotted Hyaena

Despite its appearance, the Hyaena is related to cats, not dogs. The Spotted Hyaena was seen in Amboseli and Maasai Mara. This species is a hunter rather than a scavenger. It weighs 60 to 80kg. It often wanders alone, but hunts in packs and is organised socially into clans of up to 80 members.
