Thomson's Gazelle

Thomson's Gazelle is common, although most would have been south in Serengeti at the time of our visit. It is smaller than many of the other herbivores, at 15 to 25kg. It eats mainly short grasses, and drinks water if possible, but can survive for long periods without water if necessary.
