Kirk's Dikdik

Kirk's Dikdik weighs only about 5kg. The long nose is used to cool off by panting, to save loss of water from sweating. It is mainly a browser and hides away in low bushes. It is often found in a pair, and seems to mate for life. This specimen popped out of the undergrowth briefly with its mate at the Baboon Cliff above Nakuru.
